I know that Cisco is hard at work on the next Flip camera, but I have a few things I would like to see in the next version.

It should have a:
  • threaded lens ring to attach filters, wide angle lenses, macro lenses etc.
  • DC power in
  • mic in
  • time-laps
  • burst mode (non-critical)
  • better low light sensor (I know... I know)

I realize that these things cost money, but the Flip is such an amazing little camera. I would love to see a new version that trumps the old. I realize having it do 1080p and wi-fi will probably be there, but I would rather have a mic in built in threads. Those two items can't cost that much money...

I would be interested in how others would use such a camera.

Image stabilization would be nice. Some of the videos I've taken with my 720p camera were very hard to watch because it magnified every little twitch.

Even some sort of post-processing in the FlipShare program to smooth things out and re-save the video would be okay. Built-in hardware stabilization would be better, though.

I don't understand the point of increased resolution when the lens is so awful. It will always look like poop. Give it a better lens. I also do not understand the need for wifi on a camera.
