Absolutely! Apple should EMBRACE the upgrade market because it keep those people in Apple software, potential iPod customers, and, of course, OS upgrades! All make money for Apple.

If one has to buy a new computer because one's Mac is no longer fast enough, they may switch to PC.

Well, Apple didn't seem so bright back in the days when they infested people's blue/white G3s with a fake Rom-Updater to prevent G4 upgrades working! You remember that? They behaved like major a$$holes (see the Dollar symbol)!

i forgot about that, fugggghh, i had a blue, never installed that upgrade though. just one of at least 3 major BS moves on apples part with that machine...

Color me surprised. Powerlogix is missing. I guess the G4 vs. G5 comments on their site didn't go unnoticed in Cupertino.
