I have recently switched from PC to Mac. Of course, this was after I just 2-3 weeks ago dropped a couple hundred bucks on a cool Samsung laser printer/copier/scanner that won't work at all in OS X.

Grrrr.....

So, I need a new laser printer. I need it for only light small business use- at most a dozen pages a day, but more likely it will only be a dozen pages a week.

How are the small/light use HP's? I've never used anything smaller than their $6-700 range printers, but that is overkill for what I need. How about some other smaller brands?

Obviously it needs to be OS X compatible.... and hopefully it doesn't cost an arm and a leg either.

Thanks for your input/suggestions!

I've had the HP Laserjet 1012 for about a year and a half... no complaints at all. I don't use it heavily- it's still on the original toner cartridge. Works fine with Panther and Tiger.

I strongly recommend (regardless of the company) to buy a printer with Postscript support.

Kyocera brought out new cheap printers. The largest model spits out 18 ppm (A4) and has Postscript onboard.
I don't suffer from insanity, I enjoy every minute of it.
