I have just migrated to DayLite, a contact manager from Market Circle:
http://www.marketcircle.com/daylite/overview.html
I'm still evaluating the product but so far it seems offer most things I need
in a contact manager. I was unhappy with Now Up to Date. It was buggy and
unreliable in the latest X version I was using. Perhaps it was my unfamiliarity
with managers that made it seem so. Anyway, is there anybody out there that is
familiar with ACT! on the windows side and is using either NUD or DayLite and compare
the features of each? I'm sold on DayLite but I'm in an office of ACT! users and would like have an opinon how DayLite stacks up feature wise against ACT!

You have had several months to work with Daylite. Are you still satisfied with this program or did you switch to something else?

I use DayLite as my contact manager daily. Does everything I need it to do. There have been several updates since February and all have run seemlessly and solid.

Does it have envelope printing? Custom categories? Etc?
Aka, is it suitable for business or just personal use?

Those cows won't know what hit 'em. They won't know what hit them even after it hits them, because they're cows.

Yes, it's very powerful, envelope printing, merged mail, Excell, OmniGraffle Pro 3
custom categories, notes, linked Contacts, Organizations, Groups, Opportunities and Projects. Roles, classifications, activities, notes, letters and references, forms, fields and
summaries. MarketCircle DayLite 30day free evaluation, $19.95 monthly license extension or one time license. Multiple computers, and great support.

Yes, Daylite is extremely powerful - in most cases, more powerful than most individuals would ever need in terms of contact management. It's meant to be a complete CRM targeting sales companies (hence the whole sales funnels and whatnot), but (thankfully) these features don't get too much in the way. They've even go so far as to create their own iSync independent Palm sync.
But far better than asking questions here is just looking over their website and downloading the trial version.
