Hello everyone, I could really use your help.

My wife and I both have iPhones, both on Rogers here in Canada, and both with 6 GB data plans that allow tethering. We can use my iPhone to tether our laptop with no issues, however her iPhone – while it accepts the connection for personal hotspot – does not provide an active Internet connection.

Any ideas on what could be wrong? We set up both phones the exact same way.

Have you tried any of the following?

1. Verifying that both iPhones are running the same version firmware?
2. Rebooting your wife's iPhone?
3. Verifying that both iPhones have the same network settings?
4. Asking customer service?
5. Backing up and then restoring your wife's iPhone?

If all that fails, you could resort to Jailbreaking and using MyWi.
