Non-computer hobbies? I love to play guitar, infact I first had a guitar and then few years later a computer. I think my first word was also "guitar" or "D minor" or "electric guitar tube amplifier, four tubes, 4x25W" instead of "mama" or "baba"

YEP! Thats my training gear
I think I'm about ready to fly without them. Feels kinda silly flying around with 4 carbon rods with wiffle balls on em strapped to the bottom of the heli, but they've already saved my butt on a couple occasions.

Yeah they fly just fine without the training gear, although the added weight and demensions of the gear do increase the stability of the heli in a hover.
Here's a pic of a far better pilots HawkIII in action sans wiffle balls.

Working on my Car, Cycling, Watching TV (if you consider that a hobby), I do want to get back into RC stuff. How much was your helicopter? Did you need to get a licsense (SP) for it? I've always wanted to get an RC Helicopter maybe now is the time.

I've just gotten into R/C stuff too. But I went the way of monster trucks. Got the baddest of them all: Tamiya TXT-1. Forget the clodbuster or usa-1, this thing is the bomb.
http://www.tamiyausa.com/product/rc/...cks/58280.html
Already put an ESC in it (super rooster) and upgraded the motors. Got it up to about 22 mph now (from a lowly stock ~7mph).
Next will be a R/C boat...as my dad has a nice big fancy R/C sail boat he likes to mess around with. Me, getting a pimped out speed boat so i can wreck havic with his sail boat.
Can't wait...
But for now, i'm busy bashing with my TXT-1!

There were times past when my axe was my bread, butter and prime chick magnet. Alas, for now it's just a hobby.
That's just an image fished from Google ... my American strat has a maple neck.
Teronzhul, nice RC chopper. I see the Hellfire pod mounting hardware has been removed. Import restrictions I presume?

Well, I went on E-bay, got everything for $700, new it was probably all about $1300. I probably could have saved more but I talked to the guy a Lot before finally bidding. He took excellent care of his equip, its all in awesome condition. Most everyone's advice on the subject of starting out is "get the best radio you can afford, and the cheapest helicopter that will fly" If you are starting out I suggest a Futaba 9CHP Tx and a Hawk Sport from centuryheli.com
My brother in law has a Raptor 30 with a Hughes 300 LOACH body kit on it. The miniguns are just too cool lookin.
I kinda wish I'd gotten a rappy, the nexus is kinda screwed as far as 3D flying. Gonna have to get a new heli for when i try anything more than flying around in circles.

Don't worry, it will be reequipped shortly... MWAHAHAHA
But seriously, I have seen several guys use the extra channels on their recievers to operate several different types of mini heli weaponry. One guy went so far as to attach 2 electric BB guns and 1 forward firing Estes model rocket. I think instead of guns I'm going to attach a camera however.

Nice and very impressive. Did you watch the Power of X presentation? If so, what do you think about AmpliTube, it totally blew my head of and made my heart skip a beat, what's your opinion?

Really? My dad is big onto RC helicopters. he seems to think they make a terrible platform because the level of vibration is too high.

A fast CCD and you see no vibration.
http://www.rchelicam.com/pantilt.htm
Also Wireless Video works extremely well from helis.
http://www.rc-cam.com/
and
http://www.blackwidowav.com/products.html
and if your dads rc choppers vibrate a lot, he needs to balance the blades. There shouldn't be much of any vibration on a well balanced heli.

I'm actually waiting to see who's going to claim that their hobby is being a pretentious jerk who thinks they're better than everyone else and everyone else's problems are stupid.
Anyone? Oh come on.
My hobby used to be building pcs, and before that model rocketry, and before that drawing, and before that hrm... building things?
*shrug* I'll find something. Looking at robotics goodies
