Yeah, it's pretty cool. I got it (the lamp) at IKEA last spring. It's the EXACT shade of orange (looks as though it was made from the same piece of plastic), and it's all see-through and curvy as well...a perfect little complement to the iMac.

I got the desk at Office Depot and for a guy without a bunch of peripherals, it's really nice...the iMac itself is just a tad below eye level and the pull-out keyboard/mouse shelf means I can sit back a bit. And the cable modem, Zip drive and CDs all have a place to go, as well as the iSub.

When I get my iBook, the AirPort Base Station will go where the iSub is now.

Got it all planned out...

This is my setup I have at home.

It's an iBook 500Mhz.
A friend who just bought a new PowerBook G4 did not like the new style power adapter so we traded
This is my first Mac, and I really like it a lot.

Here's my latest. With any luck, I will be upgrading either the ibook to a 600 combo-drive or the ASD to a 17", by the end of the year...
if I get really lucky, maybe I'll upgrade both

1. Logitech Cordless TrackMan Wheel

2. iBook DVD 500MHz / 380 MB / 20 GB / Airport card

3. Epson Stylus Color 900 (anxiously awaiting 10.1 drivers)

4. Epson Stylus Photo EX (doomed to OS 9 forever)

5. Studio Display 15 with ADC

6. Formac Studio

7. Gigabit G4/450 DP with Sony 12x CD-RW, 2 x WD Caviar 80 GB 7200 RPM, 1 GB RAM

8. Kensington Optical Pro 5-button scrolling mouse

Not Shown:

CanoScan N656U scanner (USB bus powered)
20 GB Bus-powered 2.5 in. FireWire drive
30 GB external 3.5 in. FireWire drive (PowerMacs original drive)
Panasonic PD-DV401D digital video camcorder w/6 hr. battery
USB Zip-100
CD-REVO FireWire burner, 12x (stays at office since putting CD-RW in PowerMac)
Olympus D-400 Zoom digital camera, 1.3 Megapixels & 3x optical zoom (still going strong after nearly 3 years of (ab)use)
Lexar USB media reader
Creative Nomad II mp3 Player with 2 64 MB cards (gotta sell it and save up for an iPod)

Sorry that it looks like crap, I had to use my camcorder.

http://homepage.mac.com/ss3_gokoux/.Pictures/desk.jpg

1. B&W G3, 400 mhz
2. Sony Trinitron 210GS, yeah I took a screenshot since the original was unrecognizable...
3. Apple Pro Keyboard (the original met an unfortunate accident with a cup and the roll-y keyboard tray :eep: )
4. Kensington Mouse in a Box Optical Pro, Dilbert mouse pad
5. Epson Stylus Color 740
6a & b. Altec Lansing speakers, sub not shown below desk
7. Yamaha CD-RW
8. Cable modem and hub
9. Music and blank CD-Rs
10. Random anime, more elsewhere in my room.

Maybe I should have tried tkaing this pic during day light...

Here's a few pics of my new setup. Yeah, I could have kept it to one picture, but I'm trying out my new digital camera... (even if it is the crappy HP315 I got on the cheap with a Mac purchase...)

It's a 550 MHz Titanium PowerBook G4 with 512 MB of RAM and a 20 GB HD. And don't laugh - I LIKE the puck mouse! Kinda matches the Ti Book IMO.

[edit - OK, I'll keep it to links]

http://homepage.mac.com/murbot/ti-full.jpg

http://homepage.mac.com/murbot/ti-front.jpg

http://homepage.mac.com/murbot/ti-shelf.jpg

The black thing with the Apple sticker on it is a CoolPad. (Yes, normally it IS under the PowerBook where it belongs. Airport base station on the right side of the shelf, DSL modem on the left. I will be getting an external FW CD-RW drive this Christmas.

AHHHHHHHH.... Life is good.

It's not about bragging, a s s h o l e, it's about checking out what other people have. I like checking out other people's Mac setups, even if they are worth 5 times what mine it, or much nicer than mine, or whatever. If it was just a contest of who had the best, I wouldn't bother to post, because I've seen some killer setups here that make mine look pretty lame.

Please remove your head from your ass and give it a shake.

You've been just WAITING to use that onion.com pic, haven't you?

the thing i look at the most is how the hardware is setup not what hardware the people have. some people are really neat and some people are not so neat. i really like looking at pictures of neat setups. my setup picture is deceiving i suppose. my setup has gone to crap...its a mess.
