Before all this hype I would have been satisfied with a redesigned iMac (not even LCD) a boost in G4 speed to break 1ghz and a preview of OSX developments.
I think Apple is killing themselves with all this hype. Now I don't think I'll be satisfied short of the following:
1) LCD iMac 800mhz - 1ghz G4s
2) PowerMac G4 from 1ghz to 1.6ghz all dualies and all with DDR
3) 200+ mhz jump in all portables. The ibook remains the only G3 in the line up
4) A P.A.A.D like device (Star Trek PDA) that comes with every Mac, that has wireless control/connection of/with your desktop anywhere in the house.
5) OSX 10.2 preview and release date
6) Oh and one more thing, all prices have dropped 20% from previous models
It will never happen but that's what will make me happy. It's too bad about Apple's hype, because I was getting used to being disappointed.
edit: added OSX 10.2

I would be happy if Steve said:
"Now I present iLaser, oops it seems to be pointing at Redmond...and I've just sat on the big red button...could be worse I suppose..."
Then he says:
"Here, everyone can have a free copy of OS 10.2 come Monday - we've even fixed the PPP bugs!"

1. FAST hardware.
2. Good software.
3. REASONABLE pricing.
4. Fanatical Support (in terms of drivers and software) from other manufacturers.
5. Statistics of increased market share - hey, you've got 25 stores now in rich neighboorhoods.
6. PUT OS9's interface on OSX!!
I'm not asking for much.. just a good value.

Nothing short of a miracle will make me happy - geez, all the hype, all the rumors - my imagination has overloaded to the point where if I don't see a dual 7.8 ghz G9 with built-in microwave and Pez dispensor I'll hurl.
Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!

An ideal Macworld would feature iMammal and iTeleport , but now I will be happy with a GHz + LCD iMac , a GHZ+ PowerMac , speed bumps for i and TiBook (not absolutely necessary , but nice) a 10.2 preview , and SOME kind of "Oh , one more thing" that is worth all this hype

I have simple/low expectations:
1+Ghz G4
LCD iMac
Speedbumped laptops
decent pricing
and a couple of good surprises.

i kind of want a lcd on the front of the powermac to play itunes or view harddrive contents. perhaps with the same ipod interface.
i sometimes turn on the computer just for music, so this would be great for me.

Themes would make me the happiest man on the earth. Or at least if Steve Jobs explain his reason for no themes on OS X, I would be happy.

How dare you to insult my theme "Pez". Maybe I'll make it dispensor-proof

I honestly don't think I'll be too underwhelmed by much. I was honestly underwhelmed during MWNY, but with Apple's own rumor-besting word out there, I'm now just sitting back and waiting for the cool product to be announced.
If it's an LCD iMac, I'll be happy, since I'm sure it'll look tres-cool. If it's a consumer device, better yet, maybe I'll afford it... tho I doubt it. From my SongMeanings(love that site) .plan file:
Will Apple bring out a PDA? I hope not.
How about a G5? I doubt it.
A new iMac? Methinks so, but how could it improve upon an iBook?
Some new consumer device? For sure... something Star Trek-related maybe even...
Something that I can afford? I extremely doubt it.
Something I will lust after for countless hours? No doubt.

I'd really like to see a [g4 iBook at a modest price. Don't get me wrong, my 500 Mhz iBook is great. I just want a g4 laptop (video rendering) and don't care for the design of the Titanium. It is a bit bigger than I prefer.
But I always feel good watching, watever comes out.

I think some sort of tablet sized mac with touchscreen recognition and global wireless access would be very cool (though I don't expect it). I also think they could win newbie's hearts by offering a NetBoot option and making it a very simple, low-maintainance device for technophobes.

I just hope this big hoopla product isn't there to distract us from the fact that the computers are still slow.

A revolutionary flat panel iMac with detachable screen that becomes its own portable device like a touch screen tablet and it has a 1 gig G3 at the low end and a 1.6 at the high end. 1.4 gig low end Power Mac G4s up to 2.0 at the high end. No computers in the line up under a gig. AND a couple of unimaginable surprises.
