I'm compiling a list of frequently asked questions. I'd appreciate it if people would post questions they think should go in the list.
If you would be interested in helping write answers, state that as well.
Questions need to be for Macs, but you don't have to limit them to Powermacs.

Thanks,

Scott

Personally I find it hilarious that you have the hots for my gramma. Especially seeins how she is 3x your age, and makes your Brittney-Spears-wannabe 30-something wife look like a rag doll who went thru WWIII with a burning stick of dynamite up her a** :)

Specific to upgrades: hard drive upgrade compatibility. I've noticed that a lot of people get confused by some of the hard drive terminology (IDE, ATA, 3.5", 2.5", drive speeds, bus speeds, etc.). Should probably say something about older PowerMacs running ATA drives, versus newer PowerMacs running SATA drives.

I'd like to find out why my computer crashes from kernel panics every 4-6 hours. I have a brand new Dual 2.5ghz G5 / 4gb Crucial RAM / Twin Raptors striped using Apple's RAID software / nVidia 6800 Ultra coupled with Apple's 30" HD Cinema display. It's so sad that I'm having to go back to my 17" for stability.. ugh!

Is there some Apple rep that I can send these kernel panics to? Are there other logs that I should be looking at? I noticed that when you get the black screen of death it doesn't load crash reporter. So is Apple never getting wind of these problems?

Thanks for any advice

The most common question I get.

"Why does your computer have all these holes in it? Did you do that?"
