Maybe you guys can think of something before I drive 2 hours to a Genius Bar.

My Airport Extreme is being stupid.

I cannot get any connection wirelessly and I was able to connect with a ethernet cable but that doesn't work now either. The unit no longer accepts wireless connections or wants to give out IP addresses.

I have so far,

1. Changed the firmware.
2. Disabled all extra options (security, hiding ssid, etc, etc).
3. Restarted it over and over.
4. Unplugged it for 30 mins.
and
5. After I lost the DHCP, I tried to log in manually by setting my own IP but no go.

Help!

Sounds like it's dead to me. Not only merely dead, but really most sincerely dead. Hopefully the Genius Bar folks will just shake their heads and hand you a new one-this one sounds (to use a technical term) completely goobered.

Thanks, I'll see to it that it has a proper funeral.

Mine died recently, too. Just out of warranty. Annoying.
