I currently have my own forum (phpbb) that I run on my website. I recently just got a new hosting provider and I'd like to transfer my forum from my older provider to the new one.

The problem I run into is that because my database is about 25 megs in size I have to find some way to break it down into smaller chunks because they will not allow me to upload the file in any larger than two mb chunks.

Anyone out there have any experience with this that they might be able to offer some advice?
W....liar or idiot? Pick two.

Have you tried the phpbb support forum?

( 2 mb seems a bit on the scroungy side, that's like not even a MP3 )

Are you referring to the 2 mb phpMyAdmin limit? This restriction exists I believe because of Apache's default timeout value with web browser uploads.

Without bumping up this value, your only bet is to use the mysql command line tool to restore from the mysqldump file. Do you have SSH access?

If you have root access to your server you can save the db on CSV file and use Mysql LOAD INFILE command..
