That is brilliant. It's like a very professional aqua. Is that a texture on the toolbar, window top? Hard to make out in the picture, but looks cool.

Yes, I was going to incorporate subtle textures. If there is one thing that drives me nuts its over done textures, but I think they can have their place in the UI, expecially to make main elements stand out a bit...

Added a few more elements, and made a consistant texture... Thoughts?

I think I prefer the first texture, or at least I think the second one is too dark.

Well considering Im having a Manic Episode right now, my guess is I will never actually finish this. So if anyone wants the templates (I have it in a Fireworks PNG) just let me know, Im more than willing to let it go. This might become a habit of mine.. Get manic, design a theme, and release it to the wild.

Looking nice. Reminds me a bit of the Simple Gray theme in the mockup contest that later swapped out the gray for a carbon fiber texture.

Oh, and a suggestions for anyone that ever makes a theme from now on... don't use an 'x' for the x widget, just take the '+' and rotate it 45 degrees. Looks much better in my opinion.

FINISH THEME

Actually, my suggestion is to replace ALL horizonal scanlines with vertical ones, if possible.

Does the "arrows button" on the drop menu look a little thick to anyone else?

It seems kind of "tall" to me, like it's jotting out a bit much when it should be level with the rest of the control. What is that called? A bevel?

Aside from that, I think it's a very nice appearance.

I agree. There isnt a bevel there, but it totally looks like there is. Its the overlaping of the lines. But it should be plum with the label... Thanks!

Not bad, but one suggestion: the push buttons on the left part (the gray ones) look XP-ish. Glassify them.

I see you like Diabolous in Musica.

i hate it how everyone says that some theme looks like another.
there are so many themes out there that they will begin to look alike. Soon we're going to get to the point where the exact same theme will come from 2 people .....

i can't wait to see the finished theme

Here, here!
The more themers there are, the more similar some theme elements may become. Just part of the developmental cycle of things. Let's not discourage a themer in the early stages of something. Remember... the sincerest form of flattery is imitation.

To dislike Sinatra is a sign of highly questionable taste. To dislike the Beatles is a serious character flaw.
