I have been looking on line for a good weather station to connect to my Macs here. I found one company that used to make software to connect a Mac to a personal weather station and to the internet, but that was discontinued. Does anyone know of hardware and software that works on the Macintosh?

if you use firefox there is an extension (now they call them add ons) that is called forecast fox. it is really nice because it keeps a weather icon for today and several days out on what the weather is going to be. it also has weather alerts for severe weather warnings. it resides at the bottom of your browser screen.

I use the weather dashboard widget, in addition to a widget that downloads the animated weather map from weather.com every 10 minutes or so. Works perfectly for me. What details are you looking for?

Sorry about the hiatus in my reply. I have been away.
Thanks for the replies guys. I have two places bookmarked where I can get weather information, that is not a problem, and it is specific to the two northern counties by me.
I was asking about hardware. What I would like to get is a weather station, anemometer, hygrometer, and so forth, to measure the weather here, and to keep a record of it. And some of those goods, you can get connected to the internet. You end up becoming a part of the 'weather underground', if you are making the info available on the internet. I mostly want to do this for my own information.
But, it would be interesting to compare what we have here to what is at the little airports forty some miles away, or by the great Lake up in the ports, whereas I am by the great Lake away from the head of the lakes.
I mailed Davis. I think it was their site I was on, there are several equipment sites I went to. There was one that had Mac software, but it was discontinued.
Thanks for the references, I will go to those sites and look.
