Many theorize that Apple is hoping that having iTunes or the iPod available for Windows has "shown people the light" and they have purchased a Mac because of this. Is this you?

When I bought a mac itunes had just came out and the ipod still didn't exist, does that answer your question?

I bought it to have a desktop unix box that I could use at the same time as it was crunching/serving

I don't remember when I got my first Mac, but it was a 512K. It didn't work with iTunes.

Bought my first Mac in 1987--the Mac II, which was the first model with a) color b) expansion slots, c) a separate monitor.

Stopped using Macs from 1996-2001 because I was doing a lot of video game development, but came back to them for video editing work. Final Cut Pro is what specifically brought me back.
