How long before MacNN logs me out of the system for being idle?
I sometimes write long posts and when I click reply it sends me back into the Login
dialog box. When I finally do log in instead of posting my reply it tells me I no longer
have access to the thread.
It frustrates me so much that I rarely post my opinion in MacNN because I feel
like it is being filtered somehow. Sure I could write it in TextEdit and save but that defeats the purpose of writing in this text box.

Does anyone have an answer for my problem?

5 minutes after posting, a post edit produces the dreaded edited tag.
15 minutes of no activity removes you from the "online users" list.

Your MacNN Forum cookie is probably corrupted. Go here to delete it, and to obtain general info on how the board uses cookies.

Another possibility is that your browser is set to reject the board's cookie. If so, you'll have to log in each time, and will be considered offline after 15 minutes of inactivity
