We have two macs, a Mac Pro desktop with Mountain Lion (older) and a MacBook Pro with Mavericks. The laptop is the main computer.

When I travel, I leave my laptop at home but logged it, so I can access it with LogMeIn. About 2 weeks ago I had to do a clean install and now my mac drops offline and is unavailable for remote access.

I attempted to use LogMeIn to control my desktop, and use that as a back door to access my laptop files, but my desktop doesn't see my laptop as well.

I have my laptop set to never sleep (both disks and monitor). Does anyone have any ideas? I have a 2 week trip coming up and I really don'y want to have to bring my laptop for maybe the 2 or 3 times I will really need it.

Silly question: LogMeIn stupidly (in my opinion) no longer offers a free service. They dropped the free version a number of months ago. Do you have a paid subscription now?
