The case fan on my PowerComputing PowerCenter 150 has finally died. It was always annoying. This is the full size DT case and the factory fan was an uncommon size - 80mm x 80mm x 20mm. The factory fan moved about 34CFM.

This PowerCenter 150 has two 5400rpm HDs atop the power supply in the rear and a 7200rpm HD below the CD-ROM in the front. The CD-ROM is a Plexter 32x which rarely sees use. The processor is a 266MHz IBM G3 running at 325MHz. It has been running at this speed for years and the machine is very stable. The nominal CPU temp has always been 36-40c. The fan in the power supply was replaced a couple years ago.

I am going to replace the case fan with one of two Panaflo 80mm x 80mm x 15mm fans. One moves 23CFM at 23db and the other moves 33.5CFM at 34db. Do you believe that the 22CFM fan would be adequate for this installation?

Thanks
