I've got an extra tower lying around. any ideas what it could be used for? it currently has ubuntu running on it and has a 2.5GHz celeron processor and 256mb ram so it's no workhorse but I imagine it could be used for something more than just sitting in the guest room running all day.

I moved this out of networking since it's about an extra tower.

But why move a thread about a Celeron system to the Power Mac forum?

Extra towers and their uses independent of OS best fit in this forum. If the discussion is more about an extra tower + Windows and Linux, then it should be in Alt OS, but I didn't get that impression at the time. The OP can let us know his intent or a Mac Pro mod can move it again.
