I hate the stock iPod/iPhone Headphones for their fit and sound quality so I use a pair of AKG K324 P instead. The thing is… I really like the microphone and button that comes with the iPhone cord for skipping/pausing tracks and of course speaking handsfree.

Now I wonder if it would be a feasible idea to take apart both pairs of headphones to unsolder the cords and swap them around.
That would give me the quality, fit and noise isolation of the AKG phones plus the convenience of the remote and microphone of the normal cord.

Has anyone tried something like this?
