Every few days, I find that my Weather widget has moved down about 120 pixels – not side-to-side, not up, but always down, and always about that amount. It's not a big problem, but definitely annoying and a little weird – any ideas?

And no, it doesn't happen to any other widgets.

You know what's funny is that ever since I posted this thread, it now moves up about once a day.

The damn thing is creeping me out.

It "moves" every time the visual (sun, rain, etc.) changes. If the visual is "bigger", it pushes the Widget down - changing to a smaller one pushes it up. Strange...

That does indeed explain it!

I thought I was going crazy since I had all my widgets lined up nice and neat (stacked closely together) but they kept randomly jumping around, at times they would even overlap each other. Now it makes sense.

If by makes sense you mean makes NO sense, that's true. What other program moves itself around the screen? Does iChat move up and down as the window grows/shrinks with people signing on and off? No. This is definitely a bug in terms of user experience.

After posting that last fairly true comment I realized that Safari 2.0 moves itself around the screen.

D'oh.

Seriously, it tiles new windows having forgotten my default window placement. So if I close the Safari window, and then open a new one, bam, it's offset. Grr. 1.2 never did this.

One step forward, one step down, and one step right.

True. I think Safari used to do this in an early version, then thankfully fixed it, and now it moves around again. Sometimes I think it even does it when I don't open any new windows, but maybe I did and just forgot.

I just grabbed one of those java bookmarks that resizes and replaces your window. Not an ideal solution, but it may tide me over.
