I tested it this morning and it's still working fine. I installed a program off it and burned a music CD.

$100 shipped sounds reasonable enough for these combo drives. I'm negotiable though.

Yes, it will work in the 12" iBook - I originally intended to put it my 12" before the logic board went out of it again.

No thanks, I can get one for $45 on eBay. I was hoping for prices to be cheaper. If you meant $100 for all your drives, then I only need one that will fit in a 12" G3 iBook...

Wait a minute. Can you fit a Superdrive into the iBook G3?

The Superdrive was never an option for the iBook G3 back then. Since all iBook G4s' optical drivers were all 'slot-load' and 'tray-load' on the iBook G3, how does it work?

I think you can just change the bezel... one for a G4 almost fit. There's also one on eBay that fits and its a slot load, but it doesn't match altogether.

Internally, it is different. As I said, it DOESN'T fit but gets really close to.

But if you put a slot load drive into a g3, you'll have either a gaping hole on the exterior or the bezel will block the drive altogether.

True, very true. I never did think you can actually get one to work with a G3. All I wanted was a combo drive for a G3 or s Superdrive if they made one then. Then the thread crapping started. I need someone to close this thread. Thanks.

kenneth-

get over yourself, you asked for an item, he made an offer. Thats what happens in the marketplace. If you don't like the price, or believe that ebay has more mac knowledgabe and ethical people (haha yeah right) go there.

IDK who you're talking to, because it seems that if you're talking to me, you're mixed up. Kenneth is a different member. I only had one offer, and I denied it since it was too much for a single drive. No need to be all snotty about it. It wasn't even YOUR offer at that...or Kenneth's. But seriously, someone close this thread!
