But I'm just waiting to see what really happens tomorrow. I may be looking at getting an iPhone in the near term, and that would be a really sweet package.
I'm happy with my 3G iPhone. I don't get 3G here in Stanley, but I have two routers in the house, so I gots wi-fi everywhere.

So now we have the 3GS, I'm wondering about a few of the things shown here, mainly the matte back casing and black rim with the earpiece speaker at the top edge. Fakes? Aborted designs? Parts for an iPhone copy handset? I'm not sure...

It'll be much easier if you just comply.

I was thinking maybe those were the actual back cases, but when they were leaked, they pulled a Jobs and switched back to the old style.

My guess? The black cases were real but didn't get the clear-coat yet.

They could be fakes, they could have been real. Apple is known to test several case designs prior to launch. Even in the field. In the past we have seen parts that didn't end up in the actual product too. Don't know what it is this time. The thin iPhone seems to have been just a mock-up, the video chat iPhone seems to have been fake. I wouldn't be surprised if the matte parts were actually being considered by Apple.

The matte parts were real!

The FCC ID on the matte parts was different from the previous 3G ID, but it matches the ID now on the 3G S.
