Why isn't MacNN protesting SOPA like most of the other news sites?

We're blacking out the Lounge.

It feels that way, at least.

Because MacNN isn't in the same league as Reddit, Wikipedia, and Fark.

Yeah, do you really think that politicians are going to come to the MacNN forums and think "hmmm, well these guys don't like SOPA, maybe we should really rethink this whole thing"?

Well, they might come here looking for words of wisdom from me, but the rest of you guys don't matter. You're basically the parsley that goes along with the main meal of besson3c.

Fool, its not about what politicians go to that matters. Its about educating the rest of the internet what SOPA is and that includes green users here too.

Point taken. I'll shift my argument then... The MacNN forums haven't been improved for years now (at least none that I'm aware of). If the effort hasn't been expended there I doubt it will be expended protesting SOPA/PIPA.

If SOPA goes through, I think we all know it's because of the failure of MacNN not blacking out. What a shame.
