Is it possible to use a 2GB RAM module in the mini? Has anyone tried it? I've noticed that some of the generic modules are dropping in price:

I'm just too scared to be the first to try

wow...another 30 bucks cheaper and im buying, but this looks very promising. especially how they note that its specifically compatible with the macbook pro, which means its compatible with all intel macs thus far.

I hear ya that it would be cool...but do you need 4GB other than geek factor? I always pop in 2GB into any computer I use but I find I only ever use about 1.5GB max.

But definately post if you do Would be cool ~

Uh yeah. I did. You would end up with 4GB if you could put two of them in. At least 2+2 was four when I went to school.

As I attempted to say, I think 4GB in a mini would be overkill, but would certainly be cool in a way.

I believe Screwball was pointing out the fact that the link posted by the thread starter is to a 2GB RAM Kit, not a single 2GB memory module. If you purchase the item linked, you will receive two (2) 1GB memory modules, which totals 2GB, of course.
