Too bad there aren't better photos of it. It does resemble a hyena with the heavy shoulders, thick neck, rounded ears and blunt muzzle. A bald hyena. In fact a bald hynea that eats grass like a cow. Sounds like they should start checking the local zoo for escapees and the register of exotic pets.

actually its ears are much more pointed than a hyena, Hyena ears are round like a teddy bear, they other thing is hyenas have shorter back legs than front legs. I don't know how Baltimore wasn't able to identify this.

Ears look rounded and back legs look shorter in this pic. (Why can't anyone get a better photo? These look as bad as the Bigfoot photos.)

Do you know what a rancher's livestock represents to him? If you found some animal eating your livelyhood, you'd kill it. (or you'd call animal control, and they'd kill it.) Either way, it would be dead.
