Apple is lying, and no one wants to do anything!

�We�re highly confident with the (iPod) minis that we�re shipping,� Mr. Cook said. �We�ve seen some of those reports. They�re isolated online reports. We�re investigating those because we want to very much understand those. But I would tell you that the number of complaints that we�ve had from customers through AppleCare tech support is extremely small. However, anyone that is listening to the (conference) call that has a problem, please call the AppleCare because we want to take care of the issue.�

Is Apple trying to deny problems with the mini's like they tried with the iBooks?

I had my Silver Mini replaced twice in less than a week, the first one was out of the box, and the menu button didn�t work and was replaced instantly.
(Good stuff Apple AUS)
The second one didn�t work after a days use and now they want me to wait a week for a replacement. (Ok, cause I'm a patient guy)

The guy at tech support was being a total bastard, and the first thing he looked at was to see if there was any scratches, but how could he, I only had it for a day. I�m good friends with the other guy who works at the apple store tech support, cause we go to Uni together. A few days later we were having coffee at Uni, and I'm paraphrasing here, but he told me. That with all the Mini iPods sold in AUS so far, about 10% had this exact problem and its tuff luck that 2 of my pods were from that bad batch. "Wow so called isolated problems". I was like wow, 1 out of ten returns that would've suck. He goes Nah�we usually find deep scratches on some of those returns so we don�t have to nag Apple so much, cause their being bastards the retailers for returning them back so often. Their taking their time, and pressuring us not to summit faulty units at such a large amount so we're forced to find faults that would pass through normally. He told me that this type of stuff is confidential and he could probably get fired for this.

Well it�s been over a week and they don�t have my fukcen replacement yet. (And im pissed)

BTW if i was you, i would avoid getting too friendly with the fishes, they get nasty sometimes. The whole gauging out your eyeball and shoving, may deter most people.

Reported. This is a public forum, not a place for you to get rid of your agressions by insulting and shouting abuse at other people. If you acted like this with the Apple people, it's no wonder that guy was being a prick.

I don't have any advice besides this: be patient. You WILL get what you payed for. It's just a matter of supply and demand, and as of now, the mini is in HIGH demand. Don't worry, be happy!

I like the humor the members in this forum use to "ease the tension" or to look at the brighter side of things. I personally thought the underwear images was quite humorous to relieve the tension building up in the thread.
