Hi nobitacu and welcome.

Running a G5 here also.

Wish TeamMacNN had a contact with the company featured in this news story. They have 600 Mac G5's.

I have one small question here... how come I've ran the program for one full day now, but I am only still at 29% progress... and still on my first protein... I see some people have it done in like 3 hours, how come it's taking me 4 days?

It sounds like you have one of the larger work units (which makes sense, since your machine is able to do large WU relatively quickly), which can take a while. FAH work units are pretty big, and can take some time. There are different work units, and the points are associated with how long it takes. The longer running ones are worth more.
With your machine, if you can, it's recommended that you run the command line version, and 2 instances of it, one per processor. I or someone else can help you if you'd like.

Hopefully that helps.

Thanks, that helped a lot. Sure, I'll try out the command line version, but I don't know much about command lines, so you'll have to take me step by step on how to do this.

Thanks,
