Right now, to use rdesktop, I first launch X11, then type in my alias to the longer "rdesktop -g (and so on)" command.

Being used to doing everything possible by Quicksilver, there has to be a way I can save a script that opens X11 and enters the right rdesktop string- allowing me to call the script from a quick keystroke.

I've pondered an applescript that would do it, but that can't be the fastest way.... what option am I overlooking?

Are you aware of the Microsoft RDP client for OS X?

Sure. But it's not a great performer on an intel Mac, and there's no signs that it's ever going to be updated.
