I know that the twelve inch Powerbook supports spanning and mirroring with an external monitor. What I would like to know is:

1. Can you make the Powerbook power down the built-in LCD and use the external monitor work as your only screen? My old iBook didn't support external monitors, so I do not have a reference for this.

2. Can you set a refresh rate on an external monitor or do you just have to live with what MacOS X gives you?

3. How much slow down occurs when using spanning?

Thank you,
