So since MacThemes reviews themes nobody else can?

I don't see the problem.

Yeah, but with the utter glut of themeing over the summer its nice to see some alt. opinions. And don't forget that Aqua-soft = Windows. And competition is always good for business, right phil?

Copying what Macthemes does? Now what, is CNN going to sue FoxNews for having news reports on their website? Look, they're even using the exact same picture of John Kerry on their front page!

Competition = good.

Lol, that's funny. I'm not too worried about competition though, seeing how Aqua-Soft does windows themes... right? I mean, I'm hoping we have separate audiences.

No one should have an monopoly on reviewing themes.

I mean, does only one newspaper review movies?

Wouldn't that stink?

pff ... a skin has no "performance" ... why do we need reviews ... it's more about personal taste... i guess u can rate it in terms of useability .. but short of that ... what else is there...

Pff ... what a waste of webspace..

Also i will have you know this.................

One of the driving forces in me switching to Mac was the beautiful
themes of Takashi Izawa and Max Rudberg.. A friend of mine had both they're
permissions to do official ports to windows and as a result i used his wb themes always

He is my friend still today. So my point?

Drop this plukn holier then though ********

My only question on this is, Did DSKY Give permission to port his theme? Last time i checked, he wouldn't let the mod of Siro i did be released.. ?? I wonder how he feels about having his work ported over? I know they give him credit, but that's not the same as permission.

I am a mac user and have been for the past year, all thanks to Aqua-Soft.

The reviews are for window themes, so it is not macthemes, and the structure of their reviews is just logical, those are the aspects that need to be covered with regards to a theme, agree or not.

I am a moderator in Aqua-Soft.org and i can tell you that is an authorized port. We do not tolerate unauthorized ports to be distributed through our site.

Im with Makki in this.

Yeah, I know how you feel. However, I think that aqua-soft thought that macthemes's review is very cool. So they copied their review style, like they copied mac stuffs. It means Macthemes is very cool.

All right guys. There was no copying, it's ok to have two sites review themes, case closed

Yes, Dave, we take great pride in that. THere are a lot of mac users in our community too and they all have their eyes open to spot rippers or unauthorized work.

A ripper is usually banned straight away, however, we are humans and one might slip through and stay a bit longer than usual, if you see this happening, do notify us, we will take care of it ASAP.

I would like to invite some of the skeptical mac users i have seen here to just have a look around our boards. While we love the mac look and try to replicate it in windows machines (everyone for their own reasons) we do not rip themes, but provide the community to "port" them (which obviously includes a permission inherently).

To those skeptics out there, try to look at it form this point of view: we are in the customization world for the same reason, lets try to work together
