Is there a way to create a widget from a screenshot to put on my dashboard. I don't want to depend on a web site because they sometimes change and then the widget becomes useless.

Take the screenshot and put it in the picture frame widget.

In Mac, firstly invoke Dashboard and then press a combination of Command + Shift + 4. Once the cursor style gets changed. Drag the mouse by pressing and holding left mouse click on the desired place (in any square or rectangular direction) on the screen and leave the click once you done. A file with an extension with .png for the Widget will be added on the Mac desktop. Please ensure that Dashboard mode is active as well.
