I'm very sad to say that I'm selling my 30" Cinema Display. I've loved my gigantic monitor but I've moved and don't have enough room for it!

I purchased it from an Apple Store in January of 2007. It has AppleCare which will run until January 2010. I will transfer AppleCare upon sale. I've done this with a Mac Mini I sold a few years ago.

The monitor is in mint condition. Zero dead pixels, zero scratches or blemishes. I have never had an issue with this monitor and it as served me well!

Refurbed displays are going for $1,499 on the Apple Store. Mint or like-new 30" displays are going for $1150-1250 on eBay (completed auctions) with no AppleCare.

I'm asking $1200 with AppleCare (expires Jan 2010). Because of its size please only in the NYC area for pickup. I have all of the original documentation except for the box.

Updated: Asking $800 / OBO in the NYC area for pickup, $950 / OBO shipped in the US.

Bump.

Anyone outside of NYC interested? Anyone willing to make an offer?

An AL iMac can't drive this, right?

chipchen: Sorry, I'm not looking for anything in particular so a trade probably wouldn't work out.

Etnier: According to Apple's tech specs it doesn't look like the iMac will be able to drive the 30". http://www.apple.com/displays/cinema/specs.html

Thank you for offering this here... however, pricing a bit high.

You are only asking $300 less than the refurb price.... I know you say Ebay is selling for about $1200 without Applecare... maybe you should sell there?

I would pay no more than $800. This is a used display almost 2 years running now... newer displays are being released... the Applecare has some worth but only 1 year left. Besides, I never buy Applecare because my credit card doubles the warranty on any electronics I buy.

Thanks.

Thanks for your input freudling. My intention was to offer it here first, to the Mac faithful, then sell on eBay if I'm unable to sell here. The display is used but in perfect condition. I'd understand your valuation if the display had been moved a lot or had scratches/blemishes. If I were shady and had a box for this display I could sell it as a new one. That's a good deal with your credit card.
