Please place your votes on the new image resizer; I'm unsure whether we want to keep it. Summary of the options:

Old: resized image would appear with a small text box above it saying 'this image has been resized, click to expand'; clicking would then expand the image out to full size. The downside is that this stretches out the page template.

New: the way it is now, you can see for yourself. Click to resize, and it will resize by itself without affecting the rest of the page.

Personally, I think I prefer the old one, but it would be good to get feedback quickly on this issue.

Here's a huge sample image to test with:

"Do not be too positive about things. You may be in error." (C. F. Lawlor, The Mixicologist)

The effects are cool, though.

I read those posts and understand the objections, but want to get a little more feedback before reverting to the old one.

I was just trying to make sure they were in the appropriate thread for feedback. Not thinking we're the end of the discussion.

Definitely the old one. Sure, it can whack out the template, but that's easily reversible by just clicking on the image a second time. I'd rather have that than be directed to a new page to view the image - that's just a pain IMO...especially when the image pertains directly to the text of the post or thread.

Old.

The new one's slow. And ugly.

On the old resizer, we could place our own URL on an image. On the new one, the resize-link takes over. That was why the old resizer had the tab at the top - so members could still add a link to the image.

The new one is interesting. If it moved to a tab at the top (or bottom) so we could add URLs again, then I'd be fine with the new one.

Old one for me. The new one's snazzy, but slow. The old one was simple and intuitive.

yeah, too slow. I like the old one - nice and simple.
Matches the current theme well too.

To be perfectly honest, I didn't even know there was a new one. I thought the old one had broken and there was no resizer. That's about as unintuitive as it gets.

The new one is pretty cool, but the old one was faster. I can deal with the template issue.
