Chrystia Freeland: The rise of the new global super-rich | Talk Video | TED.com

Very interesting numbers, but I can't help feeling let down that she doesn't propose some solutions.

Eating lots of fat is very unhealthy. Perhaps another solution?

We could cut back on the law enforcement budget. They're annoying people with police-state aspects anyway. With less enforcement, there used to be clumsy efforts to equalize the wealth. Often ending with thieves losing hands or heads.

So if they're smart enough and quick enough, the income disparity gets a little better overall.
If they aren't smart enough or quick enough, they end on scene. We save the cost of incarceration, and average IQ goes up a little.

Might a little more theft improve society's ills? And there's the old saw about stealing money that was already stolen. Thinking of the wall street guys. The "creative" mortgage bankers too, with the illegal foreclosures.

I could use the target practice.
"Those who expect to reap the blessings of freedom must, like men, undergo the fatigue of supporting it."
