trying to find something mobile with a battery & bluetooth in as small a format as possible in order to fit it in the same case as a new 13" macbook.

so far i've found the hp 460wbt

price is a bit high, but, it has all that i require... almost.

it's a bit on the big side (physically) for a shared case.

also, i've read on old threads here on macnn that when os upgrades are done, hp has a poor record for driver compatibility.

the hp 450 series is not an option, as i've read many horrific reviews about paper jams & poor performance. a printer needs to print, so a few dollar savings is not worth it if it doesn't function as it's supposed to!

a better size & driver option would be a canon somethingerother, however, canon products use usb or infrared - no bluetooth. :/ would it be possible to add a bluetooth dongle to a canon printer? or do things simply not work that way? it'd be nice to have small size (and price) combined with wireless convenience.

other suggestions greatly appreciated!

that prints on cue card size paper... so, no.

bluetooth can't be added to older canons.

it can be added to some of the new ones.

i'm now considering the canon ip90 w/ battery & bluetooth.

i've got to make sure there's a case i can fit everything in though first.

I have an HP 460 and while it does work, it is rather big for a mobile. That and your right about the flaky driver support. After pluggin mine in ,I was experiencing weird lockups through out the OS, having to repair permissions multiple times. And without fail it would cause parallels to lock up whenever it was plugged in via USB. I'm waiting for my bluetooth module to arrive to see if that fixes my parallels issue,.
15" Macbook Pro 1.83 2 GB RAM
Blackbook 13.3 Powerhouse 2 GB RAM
MacMini Dual Core 2 GB RAM (Sadly running Windows Most of the time)
Numerouse Workstations running windows and Linux. Sorry don't have the specs, I don't pay much attention to them anymore. :)

interesting response - thank you!

makes me more & more sure i should be ordering a canon.
(about the only other option out there anyways)

yeah, both are a bit big for mobiles... it'd be nice to have something as small as the old bjc series from canon, but they don't make 'em anymore and the bjc's only have oldschool parallel connections.
