Mouse is able to regenerate nearly every part of its body, save for the brain (which I thought was interesting.)
So... like... I wonder if they could make movie-style zombies. You'd have to shoot 'em in the head to kill 'em.

It is very interesting research, but the newspaper overstates the case by quite a bit. It sounds like they were able to regenerate heart cells, not by any means a whole organ. Once they have actually published their results, we'll see!

In any event, it can obviously improve the chances of recovery significantly.
