Post some things that your generation has seen.

My generation has seen...
  • The death of the 8 track
  • The rise and death of the cassette tape
  • Chuck Norris Action Slacks
  • Ronald Reagan being shot.
  • Star Wars (the defense system)
  • Star Wars (the movies)
  • Madame (the puppet that had a chin like an ass and a TV show)
  • Alfonso Ribeiro instructional break dancing video
  • Fall of the Berlin Wall
  • Those spooky nuclear war safety commercials that always showed shadows.

What has your generation seen?

The tail end of the Communist witch hunts (which have now been replaced by the terrorist under every bed)
Air raid drills in schools, where we hid under our desks, which most certainly would have saved us from those evil Communist bombs.

The beginnings of Muslim radicalization when President Eisenhower's administration invited early members of the Muslim Brotherhood to the States, in an attempt to get allies against the Communist "threat."

Too close to the heart, really. I miss John and the potential for new music from him.

And we're not fossils. We're just highly experienced young adults!

Coincidentally they had something about on VH1 this weekend. Interesting stuff. I tell you, him and I, we shared the same sense of humor.

I am betting those people thought "20 years from now people will understand why I did that, and praise me for such actions"

Well 20 years down the road, and people still think the "Jane Fonda's" of their day are idiots.

I think in 20 years, a lot of the "anti" people will be seen a bit differently than they think they will be.

That was in the 60s and 70s... you'd think we'd have progressed by now.

Last year someone that was visiting his parents eating at a restaurant while in uniform got called a "Bush loving baby killer" and then said "I hope they kill you when you go back"

I just shook my head and told the soldier not to worry about the loons in the place.

So low, that a new form of TV non-viewership measurement had to be invented.

My generation has seen Scott Thompson appear on a bunch of shows on VH1 catered to a somewhat older generation.

My generation has seen bald Britney (in both senses of the word).

BTW, this Cobain and Di vs Rick James thing...

Did Di have long hair? No. Did Cobain come out with a bassline which MC Hammer sampled? No.

So Rick James wins. Period.
