Hello

I am wondering if i get a new iphone 3G, and have an original iphone, can i give my iphone to my sister and get the new iphone?

I want to go on the £45/month tariff. Do i pay for the phone? 8GB model? then get the money back? its free on the £45/month tariff... http://www.o2.co.uk/iphone

Can i get another contract?
What are my options?
Do i pay the £45 straight away?

How dose this work? Will i pay it in 14-16 days like the iphone i got now?

1. Yes you can give the old phone to your sister, but you will need to get a pay as you go SIM card from O2 for it as your number will be moved to the new phone. They can sort that for you in the O2 store when you upgrade.

2. On the £45 tarrif the 8GB iPhone is free, you will not have to pay for it in the store, they just give it to you as long as you sign a new 18 month contract.

3. The £45 a month tarrif should appear on your next bill from O2 you do not pay when you get the phone.

Call O2 if you want more info.

I'm pretty sure that o2 will allow multiple handsets on comsumer tariffs, they certainly do on business ones. In effect you have two handsets with different numbers on one account. So if you have two iPhones on £45 accounts then O2 will debit £90 per month from your account. each phone will be on a different contract though so your new iPhone will be on an 18 month contract.

Your sister can reimburse you the money if she's averse to having her own contract.
