my daughter is 6 and a half, loves maths and has fairly good english skills.
she currently plays with the Blues Clues games and Bob The Builder website, and similar level material.
she's recently moved to my old PowerBook as her machine (the crappy old COmpaq laptop crashed once too often!) so we're on the lookout for good games/applications which will help improve her co-ordination with the computer and, most importantly, her love of learning and enthusiasm for it.
don't want very serious straight-laced games... because that's boring and she won't want to play for fun but things that will challenge her (without being too hard - things that learn the kids level and try to push them are great)
any suggestions / personal favourites ?
she's just finishing year 1 in Queensland (Australia) if that help. Would be interesting to see how she fares with year 1-2 (age 6-7) stuff for Canadian or American kids...
