Where can i find the Radeon 9700 Pro for Mac?
After announcing the G5, the Apple Store is no longer selling the Radeon 9700 (with a new BTO G4 tower).
Its a pity Apple is not offering the best AGP 4x video card to their users.
Instead they are only selling the old (and expensive) GeForce4 Ti.

First, its a pity for us, PowerMac AGP 4x users, that ATI, Apple or both decide to cancel the launch of the Radeon 9700 retail. The 2001 Geforce4 Ti is our only choice left until the 9800 is available.
The 9800 Pro is an AGP 8x card, I hope the PowerMac G4 is not a bottleneck to its features.
Second, thanks

The 9700 is AGP 8X as well.
It was the first such card, in fact.
However, it got 99% performance from 4X AGP, so I'd assume the 9800 will be similar if not the same. Ask around some PeeCee forums, yo
I can vouch for the 9700 as a great card, though... serves me gamin' rig well.

Be happy.

Good to know. The specs in ATI web page mention only "..AGP 4x support". Therefore my confusion.
Thanks
