Is there a difference between the screens of the 12" pb and 12" ibook. I know the resolutions are the same but was wondering if the pb screen was brighter.

I looked at both of them at CompUSA. The iBook screen was noticeably dimmer. It didn't look bad, it just wasnt as good looking as the PB. I put the same background colors on each and opened iPhoto images and then compared the two. There was a noticeable difference, at least to my eyes.
Politicians and diapers have one thing in common. They should both be changed regularly, and for the same reason.

Someone (maybe you!) asked this on Apple PB board. Got a reply saying the iBook used Philips screen, PB 12inch used Samsung part. They quoted part numbers so sounded authoritative.
