hm....at first I was actually going to defend zim here, thinking you misread him, then I double-checked and saw that you appear to have read him correctly.

at any rater, no matter who says it, employing the same tactics of those you consider "animals" certainly doesn't go a long way towards convincing people you're any better.

I read him differently than the both of you.
In a war with gorillas you must become a
gorilla. The SEALs for one of many specops
use horrific tacticts to win the advantage.

(i.e., If you can scope out a bad guy from a
distance and remove his head from his body
with one shot, the rest of the bad guys will
be affected, and you will have the advantage.)

One must become the animal to defeat one.

"employing the same tactics...any better."
We are not trying to convince thos unaffected
as to who is better, but those who have been
affected by the terrorists. Remember those
who have been tortured, killed and buried
without any identification? for no good reason?

These are the "thugs" we are fighting and
the families of those tortured and dead are
the those we are helping. Do you suppose
those people get it? I know they do. I will
guarantee you there would be less dead
American soldiers if they were like the
enemy. Instead they take great care with
what they do, and end up being blown up.
Just to protect potential civilians.

U.S: Soldiers Seek Congress Probe Of Discharge

These soldiers were discharged for allegedly taking your philosophy to heart. It doesn't look like the U.S. military agrees with you. Well, maybe a few of them.

Does that mean one must become a terrorist to defeat one?

How about saying something like:

"I'm sorry I invaded your country.

I'm sorry I bullied you all for your oil and use the removal of Saddam Hussein to reward myself.

I wish I had taken my time to remove this dictator many years ago instead of doing business with him knowing so well he was doing so much harm.

I am sorry we were late in helping you.

I am sorry we even cheated on our civilized values and entertained the illusion for everyone while cashing it in.

We apologize.

How can we help you, if you can find in your heart a way to forgive us?"

What reward is that? The deaths of hundreds of troops, and the oil you speak of? Their oil system is in shambles, and it is costing the US and Iraqis mucho denero to fix it and secure it from insurgents.
instead of doing business with him knowing so well he was doing so much harm.
Now you're talking about the Dictator Duo--Chirac and Schroder, France and Germany.

Exactly. Become hate.

Everything you say further exposes you and your ilk as the remorseless animals you are. YOU are the terrorists now.

This is not a video game slappy.

The completely saddest thing is this is a war knowingly based on a false premise.
There is no honor to such a thing.
IF the argument is that its alright to become animals to fight animals, one must first ask who drew first blood, who was the first animals that forced the others to become animals?

meh, regardless....If you are braggin about how much humanity you can sacrifice for questionable justifications, then I must concede you have successfully become animals.

Now, once you've accomplished that, what do you do with that talent? Does it somehow make you better at becoming honorable men later to be wanton animals now? How does that work, exactly?

In other news, a suicide bomber kills Canadian troops in Afghanistan, a suicide bomber blows up a bus in Jerusalem, the US has lost interest in the Palestinian question - oh yes, peace is breaking out in the Middle East and it's all thanks to the USA.

Sounds like business is good, as usual...

One may wonder about the profits generated by those wars.

I wonder how much it did cost to blow the 2 towers.

Amazing how catastrophes can generate income.

I remember the Pinto, from the '70s. Hit the car in the back and it would explode. If I remember well, the company making the car judged that it would have cost more to recall the cars to repair them than to pay damages.

Can someone remind me how many died because of that?

Sounds like a human life is cheap if you keep your profits.

After all, it's not like soldiers don't know they'll die on "duty". You would never send civilians on a sacrifice (although they are expandable for the "greater good"). Noooo!

I wonder if that war is really what it is; if wars are started on the premise of economical reasons, who is actually profiting from it? This means that casualities includes the non-employed, those fired on a massive basis...

and then you have, at the other extreme, those under the bombs. In between, you, me, (consumers), the guys (and gals) working in the factories making the weapons, the soldiers...

Maybe I am dreaming all that...

What you don't know does not hurt you. Just like AIDS; it hurts when you know about it.
