So I've spent many a long night trying to get Parallels and Boot Camp to work proper on my machine. Parallels has been astoundingly unstable btw. The only functioning solution I found was to get Boot Camp up and running, then just use the same license of Windows in Parallels because I can't get the My Boot Camp nonsense to work correctly. Anyway, I got it working, spent many hours watching my various softwares' progress bars and decided to back up. I click on Time Machine and presto: error code -43. Apple says, "File not found; Folder not found; Edition container not found; Target not found." I don't necessarily need Time Machine, I am curious if, say, a Windows program like Acronis (Norton Ghost sucks) would back up the entire physical HDD, including OS X, but ideally, Time Machine should work... Help... My iMac is having its way with me.

error code -43.
There is some discussion on this code at http://discussions.apple.com/thread....readID=1367669.

I'm surprised how unstable you found Parallels Desktop. We run it on perhaps a dozen machines (using XP or VISTA) and stability has not been an issue at all. Slow at times perhaps - but stable. (Sounds like me!) So I wonder that is that about?

Best of luck with this!

Interesting. I googled that exact thread title and nothing came up. Anyway, works fine now. I was under the impression that since: "File not found; Folder not found; Edition container not found; Target not found," the application was missing something crucial (like when Windows says it can't find an application) Ugh. It's going to take me longer than I thought to acclimate myself to the language of Mac. PC, *nix, Fedora, *ubuntu, I can do most anything. Mac is very streamlined, and thus difficult to find backdoors. Thanks a bundle pcryan5!
