Has anybody put a big third party hard drive in their G3 powerbook yet? Will the 18GB Travelstar 2.5 work in this particular PB?

read "emergency on planet earth.." or "the rapid decay of a .." too bad I can tell you all about it. by theway, it works fine now, the only problem is , is that the larger hd pushes the hd-connectioncable between hd and powerbook. it will get damaged.

As long as the drive is 2.5" (standard laptop size) and no more than 12.5 mm high it should work without a hitch. I've never had any problems with those drives.
