So this has come out of nowhere, a trailer for a Cloverfield follow up/sequel/spin off, in the cinema on March 11th. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yQy-ANhnUpE

A woman (Mary Elizabeth Winstead) wakes up in a cellar, being kept there by a stranger (John Goodman), the outside world is post something big happened and wiped everything out, they can't go outside.

It'll be much easier if you just comply.

Right off the bat this seems like a better setup.

(Didn't see the original)

And just like the last time, Cloverfield STILL doesn't actually show why everyone is just randomly panicking for no reason, so what is the cause of the panic? If they don't put that in the trailer, then why should I watch it?

Cloverfield is a surprisingly good movie.
Mankind's only chance is to harness the power of stupid.
