Honestly, I'm trying to halfway convince myself that I need one.

I'm thinking about ordering the top end Nano. At 8GB it's less than my old 3G 15GB - and not quite enough for my entire library - but I feel that solid state is the way to go (size, weight, reliability, battery life). Liking the mini-inspired form factor.

I can't wait to see the black nano, but I'm concerned after reading a report of the unit scratching easily. Hopefully soon we'll have some hands on reports from users in this forum. I'm either going to pick up a new nano or a new 5G 30GB iPod.

I was a bit disappointed by this ipod upgrade as I was going to pick one up. Now have decided to just hold on to the 5g 60 gb I already have until the real 6th generation true Video hopefully comes out. I like the move up to 80 gb as that's great, nice to have that just for the portable HD factor alone. However, the screen is the same thing really as the 5th generation, too small. Apple needs to really get that increased and put in video touch capability. I predict by Christmas or shortly thereafter.
