I have an iMac 2.1 GHz G5. I'm guessing the drive is shot. Sometimes I can burn a blank CD- but it always gets an error on verification. Any suggestions about what to check and/or do next?

Thanks

In this order:
Manually lower the burn speed of your drive.
Reset your PRAM.
Run the Apple Hardware Test; see if anything worthwhile shows.
Create a new user to see if the problem persists for them.
Archive-install the operating system; see if the problem persists.
