i have an old printer and i want to hook it up to my 6500
but it has a parallel port for a pc but I found drivers for the mac
how do I connect it?
to it's serial port?

That printer has USB.

Just get a USB card for the Mac, download and install the USB Card Support drivers from Apple's website, and then you can install HP's printer drivers and use USB.
