For as long as I can remember the Mac OS has always had the ability to list how much available space was on a drive, how much content, both size and number of items was in a folder and even a preview function was in some versions of Mac OSX.x but in Lion the "summary" at the bottom of any given finder window is now missing and the only way to tell how big a folder is or the number of items in the folder is to "Get Info". Is there a way to revive this feature in Lion?

How much space on drive: I see it in List view.
Preview: Switch to Column view.
Did you mess with your view options (View menu)?

Thanks TETNAL. I had tried that but when I opened in column view I couldn't see the calculated sizes. It was because I hadn't clicked through to an actual folder. I think I need sleep.
