128MB VRAM enough for Macbook Pro?

Is 128MB VRAM enough to get the Macbook Pro to do everything?

Anything I could throw at a $2,000 notebook.
VId editing, photoshop, games and such.

I figure going for the 256MB may provide me with a little more time before complete obsolescence.

128 was slow for windows xp when i use ti use it. but macbook pro you need at least 512mb i would say. if you wonna take full advantage of it you need at least 1gb f ram. cause you can do bunch of thing at once(multitasking). if you lok in the right places you can get 2gb under $150. try newegg.com

That's video RAM, not system RAM.

I thought the same thing, but the price of the two are to far apart compared to what you get for going for the mid line Macbook Pro. It seems to be not worth it.

You're getting a faster processor and a second gigabyte of RAM, too.
